Effective risk management is not a reactive measure — it is the structural foundation upon which every decision in AZOR’s algorithm is made. Managing exposure on an intraday basis means defining the boundaries of acceptable loss before any position is opened, and enforcing those boundaries automatically and without exception.
DEFINING EXPOSURE LIMITS BEFORE THE SESSION
Each trading session begins with pre-determined exposure thresholds embedded in the algorithm. Position sizing is calibrated relative to current account equity, with hard caps on both individual trade risk and aggregate daily loss. Once a daily drawdown threshold is reached, the system ceases trading for that session — automatically, with no manual override required.
DEFINED EXITS ON EVERY POSITION
Every position opened by the algorithm carries a defined stop-loss level set prior to execution. These levels are not moved once a trade is live. This structural rule removes the temptation to hold through adverse moves in the hope of a recovery, and ensures that losses remain bounded within acceptable parameters on every trade.
Profit targets are similarly pre-defined, allowing the system to exit positions when favorable price objectives are reached. This applies equally to both long and short positions, with the same discipline governing exits in both directions.
CAPITAL PROTECTION AS THE PRIMARY OBJECTIVE
Capital preservation is treated as the primary goal, with profit generation as its natural consequence. Protecting capital on losing days is as important as maximizing returns on winning ones, as the compounding mathematics of long-run growth depend on keeping the equity base intact.
- No single trade exceeds defined risk thresholds
- Daily loss limits trigger automatic session halt with no manual override
- Stop-loss levels are fixed at entry and never adjusted
- Position sizing adjusts dynamically to current account equity
